Staff were friendly and the fried breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Bring your own shower gel though!

I thought the staff were friendly, also when we got there we were upgraded on our room-because a family room was available. It is reasonably priced and is a good location.

The hotel was great value for money and was in an excellent central location. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was very tasty. The fact that it has its own car park was the reason we chose it.

    the corridor smelt of smoke

The service was excellent but I feel they were trying to make up for the state of the rooms

The rooms were seriously in need of updating and investment. I felt every spring in the bed, didn't use the shower because of the brown stains or walk bare feet on the grubby carpet. It's a large building with many rooms and walls are paper thin - the worst nights sleep I've had in a long time. More suited for a hen or stag party.

The hotel staff and management were excellent at all times, very helpful, and could not do enough for you. They were great. The room was good and clean, and the food and service was excellent. I would definately use this hotel again and tell others about it.

only that at first I had a room that a smoker had been in, and I could not bear the smell, but the hotel moved me, and did all they could to help me. So no real complaint there.

The friendly welcome when we arrived and the breakfast and wait staff at that time.

We found the bed uncomfortable and normal conversation from the adjoining room was as though the people were with us in our room. As the hotel was not well booked, we would have expected that given the thin walls, guests would be allocated alternate rooms. We would suggest that for the future. It was also disappointing to find that our accommodation cost would have been less had we not pre-arranged it.

The staff were excellent the rooms were clean. The car parking was great. The breakfast was lovely I didn't eat again until 5pm!

The one thing was the other guests unfortunately. They were very loud and very drunk lots of swear words. No animosity just drunkeness not pleasant to be around really.

    the breakfast was lovely

the hotel is falling apart the bedrooms are very bad we also booked a room for 4 adults 1 family room we got 2 twin rooms instead not good enough.also the people before and after us also got the wrong rooms

Pleasant, funny staff. Pretty close to beach area

Old fashioned furnishings. Small room. Tiny on suite - more like cupboard in room - shower only worked cold! Noisy outside when people drinking.

the welcome was 2nd to none on arrival while cheking in we were offered a brew as they say up north, the staff could not do enough for us nothing was too much trouble, i even got a sausage sandwich sent up to me when i had to be at the winter gardens for an early meeting thanks julie.

the location was close to the winter gardens were we had a conference, and also close to the sea front and all the attractions, the food was great breakfast thanks sandra a cearel buffet followed by a full english tea coffee and toast more than enough to get you through till lunch time

on the first morning they offered us a cooked breakfast early as we were attending a convention for the weekend. they then retracted this for following days. but they did us toast. the staff tried to be helpful and friendly, in their own way.

it was very shabby. and mouldy. the staff stood at reception drinking (pints of guiness at 10am on the saturday morning) and were very rowdy. the walls to the rooms are paperthin and so the revellers staying at night kept me awake until 530am when they stoppped banging on all the doors. the shower was a trickle. some parts of the halls to the bedrooms had no carpet, just underlay. it was just very tired and shabby. my friend tried 5 differnet rooms because the first was so awful and the guy on reception just kept offering her rooms that weren't even available, and having to then shift her again and again. so we saw a good sample of what was available. very budget, old and tired.
